Preparing for India
The words that keep coming to my spirit right now are "open doors... open doors... open doors." Right now, I'm sitting in my church, the Congregation of Zion, in the sanctuary with my sax player and website designer, Leander, waiting for the rest of the band to get here so we can go to Ihop and chill before sound check at the Bob Hope Theater. G-d has been opening doors for this band since the beginning, and now we are just hours away from opening for Grammy award winning artist and one of my biggest inspirations, India.Arie. I remember when I was in elementary school when I first heard her and loved her ever since, and now, my band is given the opportunity to share a stage with her. That's crazy, and I give 100% thanks and reverence to my G-d for opening doors that no man can close. "open doors... open doors... open doors..."
